The story of Friends of KP Cemetery began with a simple realization—our historic cemetery needed people who cared enough to protect it.

For more than a century, KP Mountain View Cemetery has served as the final resting place for generations of local families, veterans, and members of our community. Time, weather, and age have taken their toll on the grounds, roads, and monuments, creating a need for ongoing preservation and care.

Friends of KP Cemetery was established to bring together volunteers, donors, families, and community members who share a common purpose: preserving this sacred place while honoring the lives and history it represents.

Today, our work includes restoring cemetery grounds, protecting historic monuments, honoring our veterans, documenting cemetery history, and encouraging community involvement. Every volunteer hour, donation, and act of kindness helps preserve the legacy of those who came before us.
